Jack & Jill Are Married
After six years together, Jack & Jill are married — surrounded by the people who matter most, finally, gloriously at a west-facing cove on the Cebu coast.
By the Setnayan Desk · Cebu
Barefoot on warm sand, Jack and Jill were married as the tide pulled back to make room for the aisle. Eighty guests kicked off their shoes at the tree line and walked down to the water, and the cove obliged with the kind of sunset that looks staged.
There were no chairs to speak of and no one minded. The couple traded vows ankle-deep in the shallows — a callback to the proposal Jack swears he pulled off without dropping the ring — then waded back up to a reception of long communal tables, fresh kinilaw, and a playlist that opened with their road-trip anthem and never quite stopped.
By the time the bonfire was lit, half the party was back in the water. The other half was already plotting next year’s boat ride out.
