The Jack & Rose Chronicle
A big-hearted celebration
Jack & Rose Are Married
After seven years together, Jack & Rose are married — amid a joyful crowd of everyone they love, at last at a pine-forest clearing in the Cordilleras.
By the Setnayan Desk · Baguio
Fog moved through the pines like a fourth guest of honor as Jack and Rose were married in a forest clearing above Baguio. One hundred guests climbed into the cool and the mist, and the mountain answered with a hush you could almost hear.
The ceremony was small and close — vows exchanged under the trees, breath visible in the cold, the only music the wind in the branches until the strings came in. Afterward, guests warmed their hands around hot food and strawberry taho while the clearing glowed against the grey.
As the afternoon dimmed the fog rolled back in and seemed to close the clearing off from the rest of the world, leaving just the hundred of them, the pines, and a secret the mountain had agreed to keep.
“Thank you for climbing all the way up into the fog with us.”
